Property Firm Fined for Misleading Photos
A court has rejected an appeal from real estate developer Hermina Bau and given the company a Ft 3.5 million fine.

The competition office GVH earlier launched the inquiry and imposed a fine for unfair commercial practices.

Hermina Bau deceived customers for years by posting misleading photos of designer apartments on social media as if they were its own projects.

Hermina Bau also distorted consumer decisions by deleting negative comments from its social media pages concerning the service, the GVH said.

The company argued illustrations of homes for sale could not distort consumer decision-making.

Hermina Bau was also ordered to pay Ft 294,000 to cover legal costs and fees.
