Watch: Hungary's 'House of Music' Among World’s Best New Attractions
Experiencing a concert at the new 'House of Music' museum, set to officially open this Saturday in Budapest’s City Park, has been selected as one of the 22 best new things to do in the world in 2022.

The new institution will soon come to life as part of the Liget Budapest project will open its doors to the general public at the end of the month.

The official opening ceremony is set for this Saturday, January 22, since it is Hungarian Culture Day.

The perforated roof atop the structure designed by Sou Fujimoto “allows natural light, trees and sound to infiltrate the two performance venues, exhibition spaces and library, which are linked by magnificent spiral staircases”, Time Out writes.

The highly regarded magazine, which published the ranking of attractions for 2022, praises "the edifice as the standout initiative of the Liget Budapest Project”.

In the first week after the opening, students of the Budapest Liszt Academy will offer free concerts.

Tickets for concerts from January 28th, featuring performers of classical, pop, world, jazz music and many other genres, are available via magyarzenehaza.com.

Designed by Japanese star architect Sou Fujimoto, the House of Hungarian Music topped the World Architecture Community’s (WAC) list of ten most anticipated buildings in 2021.
