Biz Chamber Against Car-Free Riverside Road in Budapest
The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK) is launching an online consultation regarding the city’s plans to ban motorised traffic from the lower riverside road in Pest.

The organisation argues that the proposed change would worsen traffic congestion when access to certain parts of the city is already difficult for delivery businesses or service providers, such as repair people, construction workers and retail suppliers.

After the online consultation, BKIK intends to have discussions with the city management.

Mayor Gergely Karácsony announced the car-free lower quay plan last month.
