Direct Flights from Budapest to More Holiday Destinations Launched This Month
Summer is here, and with summer come new and exciting holiday destinations at Budapest Airport. SunExpress is launching a new flight to Izmir, Turkey’s third largest city and the country’s second largest port.

The city attracts travelers as a vibrant, bustling and modern destination. Highlights of the city’s surroundings include the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven ancient wonders of the world, and the Agora of Smyrna, one of the best-preserved ancient agoras in the world today.

The airline will launch direct flights to the ancient metropolis from 18 June, on Saturdays.

Already from 3 June, passengers can fly direct from Budapest to New York once again, with LOT Polish Airlines.

The service, which was suspended due to the pandemic, will operate three times a week until the end of September, with Boeing 787 Dreamliners, following a hiatus of almost two years. The flight enables families and friends to connect safely in the overseas metropolis, a favorite with Hungarian travelers, in just 9 hours from Budapest.

The service is also ideal for business trips and city breaks, where, in addition to the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty, Greenwich Village is also worth a visit, where you can take a photo in front of the typical brownstone houses and feel like you are in an authentic American movie.

For those who love Spain, 11 destinations are directly accessible from Budapest. Alicante, Valencia and Castellon are particularly famous for their local tapas, paella and seafood. It is worth browsing the cities available from Budapest to discover new cultures, wonderful panoramas and special memories, as there are plenty of other destinations on offer at Ferenc Liszt International Airport to discover and experience.
