Construction Project of University in Budapest Cancelled
As even the cheapest bid was two and a half times more than the available amount, the public procurement call for the construction of a new campus in Budapest’s Eighth District also known as the Bródy project, was unsuccessful, the Pázmány Péter Catholic University announced on the EU public procurement website on Friday.

The university allocated Ft 11 billion for the project but Laki Épületszobrász filed a bid of Ft 27.3 billion, Vemév-Szer Ft 26.3 billion, and the consortium of Possibuild, Laterex and Garage Real Estate Developer Ft 25.5 billion.

The university plans to erect a new building for teaching at Szentkirályi utca 26, to renew a heritage protected building at Bródy Sándor utca 15 and to modify the existing building at Szentkirályi utca 28-30.
