Rising Stars, Place of Arts Budapest, 10 – 12 November

What are the Rising Stars concerts about? The discovery, the surprise, the promise of major new talent. But also about other things, of course. It is about internationality, as the young artists are presented by ECHO, the European Concert Hall Organisation, across the continent.

And it is about contemporary music, and the spirit of patronage, as each concert features a new composition commissioned for the occasion.

This year, we are able to uncover the art of Scottish guitarist Sean Shibe, immerse ourselves in the beauty of German bassoonist Mathis Kaspar Stier, meet a great new string quartet in the Belgian Sonoro Quartet, admire the improvisational ingenuity of Germany’s Sebastian Heindl – and be proud to have another Hungarian participant in violinist Júlia Pusker - pictured above.

Mega Multi-Art Weekends at Trafó Budapest, 21 - 28 September

The Trafó House of Contemporary Arts will launch its new season with the slogan "End Violence" and important social themes, a six-day all-arts series, new presentations, international productions, performances, public walks, music programs and community events over two weekends, September 19th and 21st, and 26th and 28th.



New Street Music Festival, Miskolc on 5 - 6 September

The 'Shake It Up! - Street Music in Miskolc' festival will be held on the main street of the city, where audiences will be able to meet 25 performers at 5 locations on Friday the 5th and Saturday 6th September, the organizers told MTI.
