Petrol Price Increase in Effect From Today in Hungary
Most filling stations received instructions on Friday, regarding the Ft 21 per litre fuel price increase in effect from today.

The increase is the second phase of a total excise tax increase of Ft 41 per litre, Népszava writes.

MOL announced at the end of 2023 that it would pass on to customers only Ft 20 of the gross Ft 41 increase in excise tax on fuel effective from January 1, covering the difference from its own pockets until January 15.

Wholesale market prices have decreased by Ft 3 per litre for petrol and Ft 12 per litre for diesel since January 1, Népszava adds.

Meanwhile the Oil and Gas Storage Association announced that it had reduced the so-called fuel storage provision fee paid by oil and gas companies which are its members, from Ft 4 per litre to Ft 3.3 per litre, a 17.5% drop, from January 1.
