Based on the survey responses, Hungarians scored 3.9 of 10 on the "AI Readiness Index", a gauge of AI awareness and frequency of use both in and outside of the workplace.

Around 26pc of respondents said they used AI regularly, most frequently (53pc) for translation, general searches (45pc) and personal questions (35pc).

Among the students in the more than 2,000-person sample, 78pc said they used AI for schoolwork.
