Zenith Corso Shopping Centre in Budapest to Open This Year, And More Revealed by Colliers
Commercial real estate company Colliers pointed to an expected pickup in investment activity on the local market in 2025, supported by an improvement in sentiment, interest rate cuts by the ECB and the arrival of FDI from Asia in an assessment.

On the office market, Colliers said the public sector drove demand in 2024, although contract extensions dominated, accounting for close to 60pc of take-up.

In Budapest, the office space market reached 4,456,000 sqm. The vacancy rate edged up to 14.1pc but could peak in 2025, Colliers said.

Area on the market for industrial property was over 5.5m sqm in 2024 and included 3.7m sqm in the capital. By 2026, another 587,300 sqm of industrial property will be inaugurated, Colliers said.

Colliers said the 11,000 sqm Zenith Corso shopping centre in the capital would open at the end of 2025.

The development area covers approximately 6.7 hectares behind the Bosnyák Square Market Hall.

At Bosnyák Square, Zenit Corso will provide a new gathering place for families, where they can take care of their daily shopping or enjoy leisure activities with their children.

Zenit Corso will feature a shopping center and promenade, along with 530 parking spaces as part of the commercial property complex.
