Petrányi Group Expands Services Budapest Airport With U-Save Car Rental Launch
The Petrányi Group and Green Motion Hungary Zrt. have announced a dual expansion move at Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport. In March, the two companies will introduce the U-Save car rental brand to Hungary.

Beginning in January 2025, renowned mobility expert Gábor Dévai joined Green Motion Hungary as a co-owner.

This partnership brings together the Petrányi Group’s 50 years of industry expertise, Green Motion’s commitment to sustainable mobility, and Dévai’s 22 years of sector experience, the companies note.

Additional local mobility experts have joined the team, aiming to drive growth and innovation essential for the industry’s future. Together, Green Motion and U-Save will deliver a broader range of high-quality services, catering to different customer segments, with the goal of establishing both brands as key players among domestic and international renters.

As corporate demand for sustainable fleet services grows, Green Motion Hungary says it remains committed to eco-friendly fleet management and digital solutions. This is particularly important in Hungary, where corporate fleets often remain idle 40% of the time, and many executives maintain larger, more expensive vehicles than necessary.

Green Motion will continue offering tailored, cost-effective, and flexible mobility solutions, featuring a low-emission fleet primarily composed of hybrid vehicles, supported by paperless, digital processes.

The introduction of the U-Save brand - well-known in the United States - provides an alternative for customers seeking reliable, efficient car rental options. U-Save will operate within the terminal at Ferenc Liszt International Airport, with plans underway for a downtown location featuring digital solutions.

“We provide high-quality services that strengthen and complement the Petrányi Group’s more than 50 years of values,” said Zoltán Petrányi, owner of Petrányi Group. “Car usage habits are constantly evolving, and I believe the growth of tourism and the transformation of the mobility ecosystem will create new opportunities for us.”

Gábor Dévai, former managing director of Sixt Rent a Car Hungary and recipient of the 2023 Car Rental Company of the Year award, emphasized, “Our goal is to deliver a customer experience comparable to a five-star boutique hotel—where clients return for the outstanding service and overall experience.”

Richard Lowden, CEO and founder of Green Motion and president of U-Save, added that they are thrilled to bring U-Save to Hungary in partnership with Petrányi Group and Gábor Dévai. He noted that the combined presence of U-Save and Green Motion ensures we can meet all travelers’ needs, whether they seek premium services, sustainable options, or reliable, cost-effective solutions.
