Largest Open-Air Family Festival in Hungary: 'Children's Island' at Hajógyári Sziget This Weekend

Taking place on the third weekend of June, Generali Gyerek Sziget — Hungary’s largest open-air family festival — will once again welcome visitors to Hajógyári Island between 20 — 22 June.
Entry to the festival is completely free, with a wide range of engaging activities designed to entertain children and offer parents a chance to unwind.
Set in the natural surroundings of Óbuda’s well-loved island park, the three-day event has become a much-anticipated summer tradition for families.
This year’s programme includes creative workshops, interactive experiences, concerts, stage shows, sports sessions, and themed tents catering to various interests and age groups.
The festival aims to create meaningful shared experiences. Children can enjoy hands-on play zones, skill-based games, and eco-friendly activities, while the whole family can participate in music and movement sessions, puppet theatre, storytelling, and other performances.
Cultural diversity and playful learning are key themes throughout the event.
With no pre-registration required and all programmes open to the public at no cost, Gyerek Sziget offers an ideal opportunity for families to spend quality time together in a vibrant, outdoor setting.
