"Tropical Night" in Budapest: Heat Records Broken Again in Hungary
The national and the Budapest early morning daily heat records were broken on Saturday, the national weather service said.

HungaroMet said on its website on Sunday that the early morning temperature was 25.3 C on Janos Hill in Budapest on Saturday, a record high for the capital and Hungary.

The previous early morning national record of 24.5 C was recorded in Szeged in 2024 and the Budapest record was 24.1 C recorded at Janos Hill last year.

HungaroMet noted that on Saturday it was a tropical night in the capital and several settlements, meaning the minimum temperature was above 20.0 C.
