Home Start to Boost Home Builds in Hungary
- 1 Sep 2025 12:12 PM
Laszlo Koji told Kossuth Radio that new home builds could reach an annual 30,000-35,000 by 2027, the number required to replenish Hungary's aging housing stock.
He noted that just 12,000-13,000 homes would be handed over in 2025.
He said the Home Start Programme, offering 3pc fixed-rate loans, could generate orders with a value of HUF 800bn for the construction industry, boosting full-time headcount, too.
The Home Start scheme launches today, Monday 1 September.
