Gallery Concerts @ Palace of Arts Budapest
On until 19 May. Müpa Budapest’s Gallery Concerts series offers more than just the chance to hear one of the world’s finest concert hall organs — it invites you to experience the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall in an entirely new light.

These intimate, hour-long performances are unlike any other. Audiences are seated exclusively in the galleries, offering a unique vantage point and acoustic experience.

Adding to the magic, the acoustic canopy — normally suspended high above the hall, partially obscuring the organ — will be lowered to ground level. This transforms the space with atmospheric lighting and brings the audience closer than ever to both the instrument and the sound.

This setting creates a rare, immersive experience — both visually and acoustically — featuring a rich selection of beloved organ classics and hidden gems.

Taking the spotlight this season are two rising stars of a new generation of organists, Marcell Sámuel Tüzes and Hedvig Jakab, who will share the classical works they would choose to take to a deserted island.

In addition to traditional recitals, the special Gallery Concert: Film Soundtracks on the Organ program will bring organists Brúnó Kaposi and Ágoston Gedai to the stage, performing iconic themes from some of cinema’s most memorable moments.
