In the framework of the campaign, Oliver Csendes said hotels were being asked to offer guests discounts of at least 5pc on stays, while baths and spas were asked to offer visitors 15pc-off deals.

Already, over 400 tourism accommodations and spas have joined the initiative and the number is set to reach 500, he added.

The "Recharge" campaign is slated to run between January 26 and February 23.

Over 400 service providers have signed up already, with Visit Hungary expecting participation to rise to around 500.
