New Gov't Reversing Hungary's Withdrawal from International Criminal Court
The government is reversing Hungary's withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (ICC) and revokes the termination of the court's statute and the agreement on the privileges and immunities of the court, in line with government resolutions published in the official government gazette on Friday.

According to one of the resolutions, the government reaffirms Hungary's commitment to strengthening the international legal order, maintaining the operational capacity of multilateral institutions, and supporting international criminal justice.

The government has ordered the preparation of a bill to repeal Act XXX of 2025 on the termination of the agreement and the submission of the bill to the parliament.

The other resolution states that the government calls on the foreign minister to issue the legal declarations necessary to revoke the termination of the Statute of the International Criminal Court and the Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Criminal Court, and at the same time revoke the government decision authorising the termination of the agreement.
