Ukrainian War Amputees Receive Prosthetics in Budapest Under Humanitarian Programme
- 25 Jun 2026 8:35 AM
The first 20 patients received their prosthetics at a ceremony in Budapest's Pillango Health Centre, attended by Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Hungary, Majid bin Abdulaziz Al-Abdan.
The programme, a joint initiative by Saudi Arabia's King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and Hungarian orthopaedic specialist GYSGY REHA, aims to provide five campaigns in Hungary this year, treating a total of 100 patients.
The prosthetics are tailor-made after precise measurements, with short production times and continuous professional support.
KSrelief, which has supported 30 humanitarian projects in Ukraine worth 93.8 million US dollars, primarily in health care, is expanding its efforts to Hungary as part of its global humanitarian role.
