Faithless, Sziget Festival Budapest, 10 August
British electronic legends Faithless took the main stage at Sziget Festival 2026 on Monday, 10 August, capping off the opening night with a career-spanning set that reminded Budapest why they remain one of dance music’s most enduring acts.

Positioned as one of the festival’s 14 tier‑one headliners, Faithless appeared between Goran Bregović’s Wedding & Funeral Orchestra and Morcheeba, delivering a performance built around their signature blend of downtempo grooves, soaring vocals, and club-ready anthems.

For many in the crowd, the set offered a rare chance to hear classic tracks like “Insomnia,” “Don’t Leave,” and “Saltwater” in a live festival context, alongside deeper cuts that showcase the group’s evolution from 1990s London club scene pioneers to seasoned international headliners.

Sziget 2026, running from 10 to 15 August on Óbuda Island, marked a symbolic new chapter for the festival as it returned under the independent leadership of its founder, Károly Gerendai.

Alongside Faithless, the lineup featured a broad mix of genres and generations, from Bring Me The Horizon, Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots, Lewis Capaldi, and Zara Larsson to electronic heavyweights like Skrillex, Underworld, Peggy Gou, and Vintage Culture.

With 252 acts across eight stages, the edition positioned Faithless as part of a broader narrative about electronic music’s longevity and its central place in Sziget’s “Island of Freedom”.

For expats and international visitors in Budapest, Faithless’ set offered both a nostalgic touchpoint for long-time fans and an accessible entry into dance music history for newer audiences, framed by one of Central Europe’s largest and most diverse cultural festivals.
