He didn?t tell me then (not that he knew) that he would be taking me half way around the world! I continued my career in the cable business until an opportunity knocked for me to join a new multi-ethnic start-up company in satellite TV. I organized and set up a call center for the company focusing on providing foreign language TV programming to new immigrants throughout the U.S. and Canada. It was a very exciting and challenging opportunity. After 25 years in the cable and satellite business I had an opportunity to start my own consulting business. The business centered on the development, reconfiguration and troubleshooting of customer service organizations and consolidated call centers for the cable and satellite industries.
We have one child named Allyson who has just turned 29. She is in Delaware, teaching 4th grade in a Wilmington Public School. She visited us in Budapest many times and fell in love with the city, as we have. Jim was offered an exciting position in Budapest with HBO that we just couldn?t refused. It has turned out to be a great adventure. We thought the end was near in June, 2006 when Jim did not renew his contract but instead he started his own consulting company handling Broadband clients. It is good to know we will be here a couple of more years.
