Current position: Head of the Swiss Contribution Office/Swiss Embassy, Budapest Hungary Since November 2007 overseeing the implementation of a 130.7 million CHF government financed program aiming at reducing economic and social disparities in Hungary.
1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
First in May 2006 - husband and job.
2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
Yes, for more than four years in Washington, DC.
3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
Politics...
4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
Check out one of the bathes (e.g. Rudas on week-end evenings, Szécheny anytime, Lukacs in the summer...), visit of the main market hall, terror ház, concert in the Müpa, dinner at Babel, coffee break at Dunapark Café...
5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
Gulyás, lecsó, túrós and mákos rétes...
6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Cheese and Hungarian salami!
7. What is your favourite Hungarian word?
Pálinka:)
8. What do you miss the most from home?
The train network and the supermarket chain "Migros"
9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
Industrial designer
10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
Dentist
11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
USA

Road trip to the Baltic States
