A new exhibition titled “An Italian in Pest – Giacomo Marastoni and the First Hungarian Academy of Painting” opens this Thursday at the Castle Museum of the Budapest History Museum. The Cered Art Colony, which is 30 years old this year, will celebrate with what they call an ArtPiknik on August 9th. In addition to fine art, visitors will also be treated to local gastro delights, family programs, music concerts and theater productions, Csaba Fürjesi, one of the founders of the art colony, told MTI.

The Collection of Hungarikums has been further expanded with the church bells ringing at noon and the ‘Csárdás’ dance. The ‘Csárdás’ has also been added to the Hungarian Register of Values, Minister István Nagy announced on his social media page.
