While the Petrányi name is relatively well-known in Hungary due to its association with U.S. automobiles (the Ford Petrányi dealership has existed for 30 years), the family has also been seriously involved in wine for asignificant amount of time.

5 medals have been given to Hungarian wines at the latest edition (Spring Tasting) of Mundus Vini international wine contest. 19 wines received gold medal, 2 of them are dry white – both by Tornai Winery from Somló – 2 sparkling wines, 5 of them are sweet Tokaj wines and 10 of the gold winners are red wines.
