Consortium Duna-Express plans to introduce passenger boat traffic on the Danube to link Budapest with outlying towns and suburbs, in 2014, CEO Sándor Götz announced. A total of 28 river ports are planned to be used, 11 of which will be in Budapest.

"Budapest mayor István Tarlós yesterday vowed to stop homeless people frequenting underpasses in the capital by December 15. About 150 homeless people live in underpasses and railway stations in Budapest, while 6,000 others shelter in woods or construction sites.

"The festival area is easy to reach with local train (HÉV) departing from Batthyány tér. You have to get off the train at the stop Filatorigát. During the days of the Festival trains run on a more frequent schedule inside Budapest in the morning and evening hours (at the weekend in the afternoons also) and there are night trains as well.
