On May 19, 1974, Hungarian professor Ernő Rubik designed his first “Magic Cube” as a way to help his students understand three-dimensional problems. With more than 450 million sold to date, “Rubik’s Cube” has since become the bestselling toy of all time.

The first Budapest Circus Festival was held 20 years ago, in 1996 and as a result of the notion and casting of the professionals of the Hungarian Circus And Variety Non-profit Ltd. (MACIVA) it soon proved to be equal with the great festivals of the circus world: in addition to Monte Carlo, Latina and Moscow also Budapest has become an important meeting place for the circus art.

Outkast, Manic Street Preachers and The 1975 were all new acts confirmed to appear in Hungary this summer, Sziget organizers revealed this week at a press event. They join acts announced earlier such as Queens of the Stone Age, The Prodigy, Macklemore, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Skrillex, Placebo, Lily Allen and The Kooks. "Pichet Klunchun and Myself is a clever theatrical presentation of an intellectual encounter between two dancers from very different traditions. The piece stages the meeting between conceptual choreographer Jérôme Bel and traditional Thai dancer Pichet Klunchun, a master of “Khon,” a Thai classical dance practice.
