By 6.30pm on Sunday, 68.13 percent of all voters, over 5.36 million people, had cast their ballot in Hungary’s parliamentary election, according to the National Election Office (NVI).
Turnout in Budapest was 72.75 percent, it was lowest (63.55 percent) in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, in the northeast. The NVI did not report a turnout figure at 6.30pm four years ago.

In a video recording posted to his Facebook page, Juhász said that his move was designed to “set an example for other opposition parties”.
