For most of its 25+ year history on the F1 calendar, the tight and twisting bowl-shaped track on the outskirts of Budapest came with the reputation of regularly hosting complete snoozefests. Surface Reinstatement Of Fővám tér & Kálvin Tér In Budapest Complete

The surface reinstatement of the Fővám tér and Kálvin tér related to the M4 Project has been completed. Following technical handover, both squares in their entirety – except the metro exits – are returned to pedestrians. The completion of the works, the road building and the construction of the catenary, has made it possible for the no. 83 trolley to run along its original route.

The sections of the lower Pest embankment between Lánchíd (Chain Bridge) and Közraktár utca as well as between Dráva utca and Jászai Mari tér are reopened from 22:00 on 17 June 2013, thus only the section between Jászai Mari tér and Lánchíd remains closed during the construction carried out at the underground car park of the Parliament.
