Eight bridges span the Danube in Budapest linking Buda and Pest, each with a fascinating tale to tell. The oldest is the famous Chain Bridge, which was opened for public traffic in 1849. Nowadays, each bridge has a totally different character and style.

Stefano Bonezzi has worked for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) since 1988. He moved to Hungary in late 2010 to become head of the Regional Administrative Unit at the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia in Budapest.

I was born in Budapest on 25 April 1986. As a teenager I was open to art, music especially, which was (and still is) a serious influence and source of inspiration. During my highschool years I learned to play the trombone and the guitar.

Now on until 7 January. An exhibition guiding the visitor through explorations in central Asia and the Silk Road by Hungary’s archaeologist Aurél Stein and travelling count Béla Széchenyi opened in Budapest’s Ybl Creative House Buda cultural centre earlier this week.
