The only classical ballet company of Hungary, the Hungarian National Ballet (resident at the Hungarian State Opera) is proud to announce its 2016/17 season. With over 120 performances throughout the season, fans of classical balett and contemporary dance performances are offered a wide selection in popular repertoire pieces and new productions at the Opera House and the Erkel Theatre.

Dogs Use Same Brain Part To Process Words As Humans

Hungarian researchers have found that dogs use the same part of their brain as humans to process words, according to a study published in Science magazine. The research team led by Attila Andics at the Budapest ELTE University’s Comparative Ethology Department is the first to study how the brain of dogs processes human speech.

A series of protests and clashes with police culminated with a gathering of 2,000 people who rallied Wednesday evening to protest against the construction of a Museum Quarter in Budapest’s City Park. Police cut the chains of protesters who had chained themselves to buildings and trees. Police also found evidence of marijuana use and launched criminal proceedings.
