The British Ambassador to Hungary was born in London, in 1951. He was educated at Latymer Upper School, Hammersmith, and then at the University of Surrey, where he graduated with First Class Honours in Linguistic and Regional Studies (German, French and Law) in 1974.

The man who remains must endure harsh desert elements, ravenous wild dogs, and mysterious intruders, while battling the sinking suspicion that he has been abandoned to his fate.
