Parliamentary speakers of member states of the European Union agreed at a two-day conference in Luxembourg that the bloc is in “a state of crisis”, Hungarian house speaker László Kövér said. “Confidence in the EU is thinning among its citizens,” Kövér told MTI. According to Hungarian investigative journalism portal Átlátszó.hu, the 2017 FINA World Championships to be hosted in Budapest in 2017 will cost Hungarian taxpayers at least HUF 90 billion (USD 323 million), of which HUF 52 billion (USD 192 million) is to be spent this year alone.
