Construction of a PVC recycling factory has begun at the Tatabanya unit of floor maker Gyori Padlogyarto. The Ft 800 million project will save the floor maker an annual Ft 200 million by recycling production waste. Recycled PVC is first cut into pieces, then frozen at below -50C and pulverised. The powder is then used to make new PVC.

German car parts manufacturer Kirchhoff has announced plans to invest Ft 2.7 billion in expanding its capacity in Hungary. The project, to be completed in 2014, will add 150 jobs to the present 350 at the factory in Esztergom, subsidiary CEO Szabolcs Solyom told reporters. The job creation receives Ft 716 million in subsidies.

China’s BBCA Group will probably cancel its plans to build a citric acid factory in Szolnok as Hungary has not fulfilled its duties and has not made its required financial contribution, Napi Gazdaság reports. Revenues of industrial group Bosch in Hungary rose 27% in 2011 to Ft 527 billion, head of Hungarian operations Javier Gonzalez Pareja announced last week. Sales rose 13% to Ft 134 billion on the domestic market mainly in the auto parts segment. Bosch added 1,700 new jobs in Hungary last year to about 8,000.
