Budapest will bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, in line with the declaration of intent accepted by the General Assembly of Budapest. Infostrada Sports, the leading full service sports and media company, has issued a projection which forecasts Hungary to win 17 medals at next year’s Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. According to their estimate, the medal table will be lead convincingly by the United States and Hungary will be tenth on the list.

Destillata, the largest-scale European competition of fruit brandys (pálinka), liquors, whiskies and other spirits, came to a close with outstanding Hungarian success. This was the 23rd occasion the most prestigious Central European championship of distilleries was held.
