From the organisers: One afternoon in the summer of 2002, I was drinking wine with one of my musician friends in a garden in Veszprém. He told me that he had seen Pavarotti in Austria, performing in a cathedral which had room for about a thousand people.
He was surprised, that the Maestro gave a concert in such a small place.

From the organisers: This summer, until 17 August, the Vajdahunyad Castle Summer Music Festival cordially invites everyone to its programs, offering seven classical music concerts and performances by the Budapest Bar, the Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra and the Sabbathsong Klezmer Band. Since it has been assessed, xenophobia in Hungary has never been as high as it is today, Hungarian online news portal index.hu reported today based on two separate surveys. This comes after a massive campaign by the Hungarian government against “migrants” prior to the October referendum on the EU’s planned refugee quotas, which ended as invalid.
