Fans of J.K. Rowling will remember that a Common Welsh Dragon featured in ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’, the fourth book of her immensely popular series. That dragon was green in colour, but the dragon on the flag flying outside the British Embassy today is a vibrant red.

The Hungarian Helsinki Committee and five civil organisations have warned of the dangers of "intentionally distorting" information on immigration ahead a parliamentary day of debate devoted to the topic. In an open letter sent to MTI, they said “the government practice” of using immigrants "to generate fear and create scapegoats" is dangerous.

25-year-old Hungarian ice skater Viktor Knoch has written history by coming first on 500 metres at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships, held this year in Eruzum, Turkey. His victory marks both the first World Cup win for Hungary in the sport and the first World Cup medal of his career.
