“Hungary will make every effort to support Hungarian designers and prepare them for competition in the job market” – said Monika Balatoni, State Secretary for Cultural Diplomacy of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade yesterday, at the opening of the Vienna Design Week, an international design festival.

This year’s Design Week Budapest held between Oct. 3 and 12 will include several free events, including a forum to advise startups about finding investors. Head of the HIPAVILON Hungarian Intellectual Property Agency, Viktor Botos, told MTI that works by some of the best Hungarian and international designers will be on show and 350 events will be held at 200 venues.
