The Zsigmond Vilmos International Film Festival is now on in Szeged. Apart from its film competition, the festival programme will include fringe events such as exhibitions, screenings for children, roundtables and workshops, the organisers' statement said.

The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) granted its FIPRESCI 100 Lifetime Achievement Tribute to Hungarian director Istvan Szabo at the 78th Cannes Film Festival and he collected the award late on Friday before the screening of his film Sunshine, which had undergone a full 4K digital restoration.
