All flights in and out of the airport were cancelled today, and passengers have been advised to check with their airlines for updates about rescheduled flight information.

Budapest Airport has converted the area in front of the now disused Terminal 1 into a Park and Ride facility, with parking for 128 vehicles, it was announced on Friday. The train station connecting Liszt Ferenc International Airport to the city’s Nyugati station is only a two-minute walk from the parking area, spokesman Mihály Hardy noted.
