Parliament will consider a proposal to impose uniform packaging on packs of cigarettes in the autumn, Prime Minister’s Office chief János Lázár announced yesterday. If approved, cigarette packs would feature only health warnings along with the name of the manufacturer in an identical font and size without any logos.

US electric car manufacturer Tesla has started to sell its models in Hungary, beginning with its premium ‘S’ model, news website Index reports. Tesla plans to enter Slovakia and the Czech Republic by the end of the year. The cars are sold by Business Lease Csoport, a subsidiary of AutoBinck Holding.

Masterplast’s main owners sold 400,000 shares in the building materials manufacturer and wholesaler at Ft 549 each at an auction on Wednesday. The price is 5.6% higher than the minimum price of Ft 520, and above Tuesday’s closing price of Ft 535. Concorde brokerage was the lead manger of the auction, which was three times oversubscribed.

Survey: Seven Out Of Ten Foreign Companies Would Reinvest In Hungary

Given the choice, 71% of foreign-owned companies would reinvest in Hungary based on the current situation, a slightly lower ratio than the 75% who gave the same answer in 2014, an annual survey carried out among 209 companies by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK) showed.

The court ordered the liquidation of the company in 2005 after it failed to pay a $6,000 invoice.
