"The British Embassy together with the Raoul Wallenberg Association organised a ceremony on 15 October at which a plaque was unveiled commemorating the courageous efforts of Raoul Wallenberg. The Swedish diplomat gave shelter for Hungarian Jews in the building of the British Embassy (Hazai Bank at that time).

Just like other expat kids in Hungary, on Monday morning this week Shiloh, Pax and Maddox all attended class in Budapest. Unlike most expat children though the Jolie-Pitt kids had former-SAS bodyguards, as well as police and paparazzi, around them at the start of school. Hungary has lost another one of its most talented Magyar sons this year with the passing away of the late Tony Curtis (age 85) on Sept 29, 2010. Bernard Swartz, alias Tony Curtis (also known as James Curtis and Anthony Curtis in the begining of his career, launched in 1949) was born to Jewish Hungarian immigrants (from Mateszalka, NE Hungary) in New York’s Bronx district on June 3, 1925.

As many as one woman in every seven will get breast cancer at some time in her life, which is the second most common cause of cancer deaths in women from developed countries. Although this is overwhelmingly a female disease, about 1% of cases do occur in men.

This world famous Grammy-award winning singer will join a walk for charity over the Chain Bridge in Budapest to support Breast Cancer Awareness. This annual event was launched back in 2002 by then US Ambassador to Hungary Nancy Goodman Brinker. The walk aims to promote early screening for breast cancer, which is one of Hungary's top causes of death for women.

"Initiated by the Hungarian partner the first international-Chinese law firm of the world, named Yingke Várnai was established. As the first step of the European expansion the Deed of Foundation of the Budapest office was signed by Dr. Rupert Várnai and Mr. Mei Xiangrong in Kodály Hall at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Dave has appeared in three feature films. He played Dave the comedian in ‘Maybe Baby’, written and directed by Ben Elton, and a porn star in ‘I Want Candy’, directed by Stephen Surgit (sadly his scene didn’t make the final edit). Dave’s third film ‘Huge’, was directed by Ben Miller, and will soon be on general release.
