EUR 160M In EU Support For Hungary’s Hospital Development

The European Commission has approved more than 160 million euros in support for hospital development in Hungary. The EU regional development support from 2007-2013 budget allocations is for Hungarianfunded projects already started or completed, the commission said.

US audio equipment maker Harman, which supplies audio systems to carmakers such as Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche and Land Rover, is undertaking a 3.5 billion forint (EUR 11.4m) expansion in Pécs, in southwest Hungary. The investment will create 420 jobs, raising Harman’s headcount in Hungary to over 2,000.
