A four-day workshop conference and happening about Rákóczi square, at Rákóczi square with people from Rákóczi square.The construction of the 4th metro line started in 2006. Due to the prolonged works, the neighbourhood lost plenty of its liveability, the market hall became abandoned and square was only used for bypassing.

News site index.hu reported Tuesday morning that the “Let’s Stop Brussels!” national consultation posters, which had been placed by the thousands on billboards, signs and outdoor ad columns across Hungary, suddenly came down this week amid calls by the European Commission and Fidesz’s European Parliament group, the EPP, for Hungary to cease what the EC sees as an anti-European campaign.

Budapest’s Szabadság (Freedom) square hosted a novel demonstration of sorts Saturday evening. Starting at 5:30 pm and lasting until 10 pm, the “We will not remain silent!” protest featured musical performances by a variety of musicians and DJs, as well as speeches by notable artists and activists. As many as 10,000 people mostly in their twenties and thirties attended.
