It was the first time in Hungary for presenting the 5G network in real-life settings in the Magyar Telekom Budapest HQ at Krisztina körút. The test network, operating within the 3.7 GHz spectrum, was established using pre-standard 5G equipment, prior to their commercial launch.

Hungary, along with Poland was the second-most investigated country by the EU’s anti-fraud office OLAF in 2017 after Romania, with the office having looked into 10 cases related to the use of EU funds in the former two member states, according to its annual report released on Wednesday.

Green opposition party LMP said it launched a disciplinary procedure against one of its MPs, Benedek R Sallai. LMP made the announcement after reports in the press that Sallai had tried to attack co-chairman Ákos Hadházy (pictured on top) at a meeting of the party’s ethics committee.
