Furniture Manufacturing Group Ada To Expand Its Hungarian Production Capacity

“Austrian-owned furniture manufacturing group Ada is expanding its Hungarian production capacity with an investment of 5.2 billion forints (EUR 16.8 million), towards which the Hungarian Government is providing one billion forints in non-returnable funding, 20 percent of the total cost of the project”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced.

Police were mainly called to incidents connected to fireworks and intoxication on New Year’s Eve. The police started 15 procedures against 12 people on misdemeanour charges. The cases included a firework injuring an 8 year old child on her face, and fire damages to family homes.

VAT on internet services will continue to drop, from the current 18 percent to 5 percent, from Jan. 1. The economy ministry previously said that the 13 percentage point drop is expected to leave 22 billion forints (EUR 70m) in the pockets of consumers.
