Tamás Gyárfás, the Hungarian sports diplomat who is currently serving as deputy chairman of the International Swimming Federation, is to become a member of FINA Executive, the Federation’s closest decision-making group, following the 2015 World Aquatics Championships to take place this summer in the Russian city of Kazan.

There is hope for a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine but the situation is still fragile and “we are facing a real war”.
