Budapest, Vienna To Host Armel Opera Festival

Budapest and Vienna will jointly host the tenth Armel Opera Festival from June 28 to July 4, the festival director said. The festival will start in Budapest’s Thália Theatre with Rufus Wainwright’s Prima Donna performed by the Pécs-based Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra, Ágnes Havas said.

For this performance, the Tura Tradition-Keepers will conjure up a carnival atmosphere on stage and introduce ancient folk customs through games, singalongs and frenetic dancing.
