The leftist opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) called on the government to withdraw its decision to eliminate several university courses in the social sciences from next year. Csaba Molnár, the party’s deputy leader, said that the government’s decision to remove these courses at Bachelor’s level from next year’s offerings was politically motivated and had no other reasonable explanation.

Ákos Huszár, one of the study’s editors, said data revealed that the share of highprestige professionals, top executives and middle management in the whole population had risen while so had the share of unskilled workers and those at the brim of society.
