Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in his radio interview last Friday that the cabinet is looking to reduce utility costs to consumers by reducing the profits of gas and electricity distributors.

Budapest Aeroservice has not paid its rent or utility bills for months, according to the airport. “An agreement was reached on rescheduling our debt but Budapest Airport has not complied with it,” Majtány said.

Four out of ten adult Hungarians were seen as openly xenophobic versus 29-32% in the past. Among respondents only 49% would consider granting any asylum, down from 60% five years ago.
