Electric Fault Closes Budapest Airport

The Liszt Ferenc International Airport had to close on Friday noon as the control tower suffered a blackout caused by water on a transformer. Arriving aircraft were redirected to Vienna or Bratislava, from where coaches picked up passengers. Many departures were cancelled.

We weren't quite sure what to expect, as it turned out we had a very decent time.
