• 23 October Holiday: Hungary Remembers Revolution

    2012 marks the 56th anniversary of the '56 Revolution, a key event in the history of Hungary. On the national holiday this year, PM Orbán will give a speech in front of Parliament, and there will be events throughout the day for those wishing to peacefully commemorate the Revolution. This year the Terror House Museum is joining in the commemorative events and will stage special history presentations. The Budapest Opera House will host family events, and at the Technical University films based on 1956 will be screened. On the evening of 22 October there will also be the traditional torchlight procession from the Technical University to Parliament.

    The Hungarian-Croatian green border was closed at midnight on Friday, and the same border policing method was introduced as on the Hungarian-Serbian section, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács announced in Zákány. He added that two transit zones were created where those entering the country will be registered.

His debut single, "Impossible", was released after the final and debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart in its first week of release. It has since gone on to sell over 1.27 million copies in the UK[ and 2.5 million copies worldwide. He released his self-titled debut album in November 2013 which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart.
