    Famously described as the Woodstock of the mind by Bill Clinton, the Hay Festival is one of the world's most prestigious literature and arts festivals. Hay Budapest will feature an exciting mix of Hungarian, Central European, British and Spanish authors and thinkers. Bob Geldof, Jung Chang, Ben Okri, Hanif Kureishi, and György Dragomán are some of the distinguished guests at the first Hay Festival in Hungary. <a href="http://www.xpatloop.com/news/hay_festival_budapest_event_highlights_4_may" target="blank">Held between 4-5 May</a>, Hay Budapest promises to be full of ideas, laughter and music - goals of the event are to inspire and entertain.

    Hooters, the U.S. restaurant chain which prides itself on its scantily clad waitresses, is coming to Budapest. The franchise is known worldwide for its female-only staff who serve chicken wings; burgers and beer while wearing tight shorts and low-cut tops. Budapest expat Alex Hemingway will oversee the hands-on operations and enlargement of Hooters here. He's excited about bringing Hooters to Hungary, saying he aims to make it, "a great environment with great food, where people can relax."

  • Hilton Budapest Has 5th Most Beautiful View In The World

    Tripadvisor.com, the popular and influential travel web portal, recently published a list of the top 10 hotel rooms in the world with the most beautiful views. The local Hilton in the Buda Castle are well positioned in 5th place on this extraordinarily-impressive list. The hotel says, "Since travellers trust each other’s opinions, we receive many reservations from this site, particularly from future guests who wish to reserve rooms that offer a panoramic view of the Danube River."
